Yak's DayZ Toolchain ("Yak", "we", "our", "us")

By using Yak's DayZ Toolchain — including the Discord bot, the upcoming web dashboard at yaks.tools, or any associated automation — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Use of Yak constitutes acceptance on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, your server community.
Yak is a server management platform for DayZ Xbox communities. It provides tools for server administrators to manage Nitrado-hosted DayZ servers primarily via Discord commands and an upcoming web dashboard — including configuration management, player moderation, economy tracking, server lifecycle control, and related automation.
Yak is an independent third-party tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially supported by Bohemia Interactive, Microsoft, Xbox, Nitrado, or Discord.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Yak as a server administrator or account holder. Players whose data is managed by a Yak-enabled server must meet the age requirements of DayZ (rated M, 17+) and Discord's Terms of Service. By using Yak, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Server administrators who connect Yak to a Nitrado server ("Tenants") bear full responsibility for:
Yak executes commands as instructed. We are not responsible for the consequences of administrator decisions made through the platform.
When you provide Yak with a Nitrado API token or server credentials, you authorize Yak to use those credentials to manage your server on your behalf. You are responsible for:
We store all credentials encrypted at rest and never log or expose them in plaintext. However, you bear ultimate responsibility for the security of credentials under your control.
You agree not to use Yak to:
Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension of your access without notice or refund.
Yak is provided on a best-efforts basis. We do not guarantee:
We will make reasonable efforts to maintain service continuity and communicate planned downtime via the Yak Hub Discord server. Unplanned outages caused by third-party platform changes (Nitrado, Discord, AWS) are outside our control.
Yak stores server configuration data, player records, and session telemetry on your behalf. You retain ownership of your server's configuration data. We act as a data processor, not a data owner.
Upon termination of your use of Yak, you may request deletion of all associated data within 30 days by contacting privacy@yaks.tools. We do not sell, transfer, or repurpose your configuration data or player records.
Configuration snapshots maintained by Yak's internal systems are private and accessible only to Yak's automation and the server administrator. They are not shared with any third party.
Ban records and player reputation data created through Yak belong to the server community that created them. Yak does not operate a shared ban list or cross-community moderation network unless a tenant explicitly opts into such a feature (if offered in the future).
Administrators are solely responsible for the accuracy and fairness of moderation decisions. Players who believe a ban record is inaccurate or unjust must resolve that dispute with the server administrator directly. Yak does not adjudicate moderation disputes between communities and their players.
Yak's name, logo, mascot, design system, and all associated software remain the property of Yak's DayZ Toolchain. No part of the service may be reproduced, rebranded, or redistributed for commercial purposes without written permission.
DayZ is a trademark of Bohemia Interactive. Xbox is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc. Nitrado is a trademark of marbis GmbH. Use of these names is purely descriptive and does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
YAKS.TOOLS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We are not liable for lost server data, missed configuration changes, player disputes, or any consequence arising from server downtime, Nitrado outages, or Discord API limitations.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Yak's total liability for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. Where Yak is provided free of charge, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Yak at any time for violation of these terms, abusive use, or any conduct that we determine, at our sole discretion, to be harmful to the service or its users. You may terminate your use at any time by removing Yak from your Discord server and requesting data deletion at privacy@yaks.tools.
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service, legal requirements, or platform policies. Material changes will be announced in the Yak Hub Discord server at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Santa Clara County, California.
